Keith wrote this song in 2005 and it is very unlike anything he has written before. A sort of ghost story based very much on an old English traditional theme it owes much of its individuality to the tuning it is played in.

Keith first developed this tuning in 1971 for the track 'Evensong' (now reissued on the Timeless and Strange anthology) and used it just the once. When he was asked to perform the song again in 2004 live, he set about trying to remember it.

It took several weeks of deconstructing the first 4 bars of 'Evensong' (before the strings kicked in) but it has now been restored to the list of tunings Keith uses.

This is a song that needs very selective picking due to the tuning and is one of the most challenging songs vocally that Keith does in his live set.
