It's a long and at times very hard road being any kind of professional in the public eye.

Success in youth is almost invariably followed by a decline in popularity later on.

These are the hard times and it is a measure of a person how they deal with it.

Now entering the late phase of his life as a musician, Keith was reflecting on this and realised that hope is often the only thing that makes a writer or performer keep going when it is obvious to all except themselves that they should hang up their creative hat and pack it all in.

But then if you don't keep on trying, you don't know what's around the corner, do you?

The only guarantee in life is that if you don't try, failure is definite.
