Lowly Low was originally written by a west country singer, Dave Mudge who died in tragic circumstances, virtually unknown in 1998.
Before Dave’s death, Keith wrote his own version of it, Lowly Low (Lovers of the Light), based on Dave's original concept.
Another version of the song was written as 'Modern Times' by Al Stewart in the early 1970's. Al and his management, Steve Chapman of Chapman & Co Management have given Keith permission to record this version.
Royalties from this song will go towards maintaining the memorial bench above the Trowbridge Village Pump Festival for Dave and other acoustic musicians who are no longer with us.
