Light of the Dawn

One of the last songs Keith wrote in 2005, this is also one of the only songs he plays in normal tuning. It is a new departure in terms of style and shows a different direction in timing and use of lyrics and chord structure.

The song is about the better side of human nature and the line "easy to forget" is a reminder that we are always surrounded by the negative and the news media who focus on it exclusively, but the positive, stronger influences of love for one another are around us always.

This song brings out the tone of Keith's new guitar, the Taylor 315-CE very well as the spaces between the struck chords give time for the strings to ring out. The Takamine is still much the louder of the two guitars as it has been played for over 12 years, but the Taylor will get catch up with time and use.
